Steampunk Lady Pirate

This is very much a Work-in-Progress and I would much appreciate any constructive feedback! The sweater-vest is made from a remnant of machine-knit fabric. The blouse is also made from remnant fabric and is meant to be reminiscent of Edwardian embroidered middy-blouses. The skirt is an old table-cloth from the 1970s (that was in turn inspired by folk art designs). I intend to add a ruffle to the skirt that will be longer in back than in front and to move the D-rings so that the skirt will drape more nicely.

Eventually, when I get it decorated, there's a black felt tricorn hat to go with the ensemble.
